Are you planning to purchase the just-released Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone? If you don’t already have a Spotify Premium membership, you can try the music-streaming service for free for six months.
Announced Friday, the deal is only available to new Spotify Premium users. The six-month trial offer is redeemable inside the pre-installed Spotify app on Galaxy S10 models.
The Spotify app will also come pre-installed on “millions of new Samsung mobile devices globally” from today on, including the S10 models, the upcoming Galaxy Fold, and select Galaxy A series devices.
Spotify said its service has been “deeply integrated” with Samsung’s virtual assistant Bixby. As part of the integration, personalized Spotify recommendations will appear on the Bixby Home screen.
“Our goal is to deliver the best possible mobile experience to our consumers, and Spotify is the ideal music partner to help us make that vision a reality,” Patricio Paucar, Samsung Electronics America VP of Marketing, said in a statement. “Whether they’re listening to the latest hit albums or checking out their favorite playlist, we’re giving eligible Galaxy S10 users access to an amazing six month Spotify Premium offer.”
If purchase the phone through Verizon, you may also be able to get Apple Music for free. The carrier offers a free Apple Music subscription with its unlimited plans. Spotify Premium and Apple Music both normally cost $ 9.99 per month.
Meanwhile, Galaxy S10 handsets also come with another freebie: a pre-installed screen protector. Samsung said it made the decision to ship the handsets with one to ensure full functionality of the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
